Mitria Spotser

Mortgage Lending

Mitria Wilson-Spotser is vice president and federal policy director at the Center for Responsible Lending. She has previously served as director of housing policy at the Consumer Federation of America, senior director of advocacy and counsel at the Credit Union National Association, senior counsel on the House Financial Services Committee for Chairwoman Maxine Waters, director of legislative and policy advocacy at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, director of government affairs for the DC Housing Finance Agency, and legislative director and acting committee director for the Committee on Economic Development for the Council of the District of Columbia.

After attending the University of Texas School of Law, Mitria served as a law clerk to both the Honorable Harold F. See, Senior Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama and the Honorable Alan Baverman in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Mitria attended the University of Alabama for her undergraduate education.
