Sally Sears ‌

Sally Sears is an administrative associate based in the Oakland, California office. Sally works alongside CRL and Self-Help Federal Credit Union executive staff thoughtfully supporting a variety of projects and maintaining the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Prior to joining the CRL team, Sally was a universal banker in Self-Help Federal Credit Union’s Vallejo branch providing excellent customer service to consumer lending and retail financial service operations. In that role Sally developed a sustainable community engagement program to further awareness of Self-Help's work among local farmers market attendees. She is passionate about the intersectional nature of social justice work, and is devotedly supportive of social circuses, especially Circus Harmony. As a volunteer, Sally has organized fundraisers for a various non-profit organizations, she has canvassed for political campaigns, and she has worked the polls during elections.

Sally believes in making active choices to deliberately change the world around us, and frequently reflects on poet Mary Oliver’s question, "What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" In her spare time Sally can be found belting out karaoke, posting pictures of flowers, or clowning around with friends.
