For Some, Recession Isn't Really Over

While some Americans are flourishing following the recession of 2007-2009, the Federal Reserve finds that many other households are still trying to get back on their feet.

About 25 percent of survey respondents reported "just getting by," and 13 percent admitted to struggling financially. More than a third said they were worse off or much worse off than in 2008, and 57 percent of those who had savings prior to the recession have since depleted some or all of that money.
