CFPB Hints at More to Come on Mortgages, Non-Banks

In a semi-annual update to its regulatory agenda released on July 3, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau indicated that it will work to implement and clarify new housing finance disclosures by early next year. The agency also is working on a rule dealing with its authority to supervise non-banks for which there is "a reasonable cause to determine are engaging, or have engaged, in activity that poses risks to consumers in connection with offering or providing consumer financial products or services."
