CRL Spends Little on Lobbying vs Financial Services Firms

Stories about CRL's lobbying expenditures often appear in the press after we file quarterly reports.  We offer the following chart to help you compare CRL recent numbers to those of other groups who lobbied for/against financial reform.  In the first half of 2010, bailed-out banks spent 48 TIMES more on lobbying than CRL, and payday lenders spent 9 TIMES as much as we did.
